Peela's family, like many in the village, faced financial hardships. However, his determination to receive an education led him to complete his schooling until class 12. His friends became his pillars of support, carrying him on their shoulders daily to ensure he didn't miss out on the opportunity to learn. A wheelchair was a luxury they couldn't afford, but their camaraderie triumphed over limitations.

With the encouragement of his friends, Peela ventured to Raipur, where one of them selflessly took care of him. In the bustling city, Peela seized the chance to enroll in a basic computer course. His goal was clear – to equip himself with skills that allowed him to work from a computer, minimizing the physical challenges posed by his disability.

Returning to Asaunda, Peela became determined to contribute to his family's livelihood. He set up a small shop and utilized his newfound computer skills. However, he faced the obstacle of transportation. Undeterred, he saved up and purchased a second-hand moped from a fellow disabled friend, Santosh, whom he met at a fair organized for people with disabilities in Sakti.

While exploring possibilities at the fair, Peela discovered that there were sports and cultural events held at district and state levels in Chhattisgarh. This sparked a dream within him – to play cricket at the national level for disabled individuals. Undaunted, he participated in state-level tournaments, showcasing his talent and determination.

As Peela pursued his cricket dreams, he didn't forget his roots. He initiated a camp in Sakti to empower others with disabilities. His camp provided driving lessons, computer training, and sports activities like badminton and cricket. Peela emerged not only as a champion of Sakti but also as a beacon of inspiration across communities.

His journey from a village with limited resources to becoming a national-level cricket player and a mentor for the disabled is nothing short of heroic. Peela Babu Satnami, the man who defied physical constraints, not only transformed his life but also brought about a behavioral change in the society of Sakti. His story resonates with the resilience of the human spirit, proving that with determination, one can triumph over any adversity and inspire others to do the same.
