UNICEF Delhi Hosts ‘Conversations for Social Change’ Event at India Habitat Centre

New Delhi, [15 November 23] – UNICEF organized a significant event, ‘Conversations for Social Change,’ at India Habitat Centre on 15 November, featuring a distinguished panel of speakers. The panel included Ms. Kalawati Poyam, a dedicated volunteer from Bastar’s Bastanar block representing Yuvoday, and Ms. Danish K Hussain, associated with CG Agricon Samiti from Raipur.
Ms. Kalawati eloquently shared her transformative journey as a Yuvoday volunteer since 2020, providing valuable insights into the positive changes she has brought to her community through her field experiences. On the other hand, Ms. Danish K Hussain highlighted the challenges faced in the interior villages of Chhattisgarh, emphasizing the implementation aspects. She envisioned Yuvoday as a community-owned social intervention in the coming days.
The panelists received high praise for their insightful experience sharing, contributing to a rich and informative discussion. The event attracted national and international delegates, as well as representatives from various government and partner agencies across the country.
Distinguished guests at the event included Dr. Zoya Ali Rizvi, Dy. Commissioner, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Special address by Ms. Smriti Sharan, Joint Secretary, NRLM, Ministry of Rural Development. Mr. Dennis C Larsen, Chief of SBC India gave welcome address, The event has around 150 participatnts from various organisations across country.
‘Conversations for Social Change’ not only acknowledged the remarkable contributions of the participants but also provided diverse exposure to emerging aspects of social behavior change. The event served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration towards creating positive societal transformations.
